Olivia and Rob, Holy Trinity Church and Bourton Manor, Bourton, Shropshire, Wedding - July 2015
First a word of warning… this is going to be another very long blog post so kick off your shoes, grab a cup of tea and settle in for a bit of a read. Olivia and Rob booked me to photograph their wedding back in August of 2014 and in the twelve months leading up to the wedding it has been really lovely getting to know them both and hearing their plans for the wedding. It was a fairly unique wedding (at least for me) in so much as the ceremony was held at the Church next door to Olivia's family home, with the reception held at the house itself.
In addition to all of the details I was aware of running up to the wedding day, I also had to keep secret a special surprise Rob had arranged for the day… a flypast / display by a Spitfire! Rob had called me a week before the wedding to tell me he had arranged the display and as I am no aviation photographer I was a little nervous about this part of the day (I prefer things to stay relatively still when I photograph them!) However, with the help of @hireacamera (who lent me a longer lens than I usually use) I was able to grab a few usable shots of the display. It was a fantastic surprise, not just for Olivia but also for the many guests as well (I think only 2 other people knew about it).
I just want to thank everyone at the wedding for making my job so much fun… and especially Olivia and Rob who have been simply amazing people to work for. Here is their wonderful wedding day…..
