Shropshire Wedding Photography, Kat and Alex's festival themed wedding day...
I don't get to Photograph many weddings in Shropshire.... it's a beautiful county and relatively local to me but there are a number of really great photographers that have the googleiser rankings for Shropshire all wrapped up, so weddings up that way are relatively few and far between for little old me.
So, when Kat and Alex got in touch with me (courtesy of a recommendation from one of the aforementioned photographers) to discuss their wedding day I was of course very keen to hear more. The wedding day was actually a 'reaffirmation' as Kat and Alex had done the legal bit the day before. It was held on Kat's family farm in Weobley, near Hodnet and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable weddings I have had the pleasure to be a part of in all my time doing this.
The festival themed wedding day in Shropshire, complete with an outdoor ceremony and some seriously awesome music (tables were named after Kat and Alex's favourite albums, including Leftfields amazing 'Leftism' and Massive Attack's 'Blue Lines' to give you an idea of the tunage playing all day), was sensational. As was the weather (this year has been fantastic so far hasn't it).
But the most striking thing for me was just how warm and friendly everyone present was. It was just what a wedding should be... a true celebration of two peoples love for one another. There was no better reflection of the friendly nature of the day than Kat and Alex themselves. They were just awesome to work for. Kat's best friend said a few words ahead of the wedding breakfast and part of her speech noted just how at ease Kat put's people within seconds of meeting them.... something that I had already commented upon. I loved working for this sensational couple.
Here are a few images from a truly special day.
