Wedding Photography at the Fleece Inn, Worcestershire. Ed and Audreys beautiful day.
Early in April, I made my way over to the beautiful Worcestershire village of Bretforton to photograph Ed and Audreys wedding at The Fleece Inn, a brand new wedding venue for me.
It's lovely working at new venues. As much as I love photographing weddings at venues I know well, it's great to be able to get out and work somewhere fresh. It's a challenge and means I don't fall into the trap of taking images that I know work at venues I know well. The Fleece Inn is a challenging venue to shoot at... space is a little limited indoors (it's a good job I'm a little on the short side) and the lighting in the Barn can be tricky. But... it is a truly lovely venue with loads of character. I loved shooting there.
Ed and Audreys wedding may well go down as one of my highlights of the year already.... I havent really got into wedding season in earnest yet. It was a truly beautiful day... one of the most emotional weddings I have attended. it was also one of those 'Four Seasons in one day' type weddings that we only seem to get in April!
Furthermore, Ed and Audrey really pulled out all the stops to give their guests a day to remember. Surprise Donkeys (Audreys fathers favourite animal apparently), mechanical bull riding and a great band gave me lots of things to photograph throughout the day.
My personal highlights were Patrice (Audreys father) delivering his speech in perfect english... (Audreys family are from France and he learnt English just for the wedding day), a suprise slideshow Ed put together which had Audrey in tears and walking to the venue through Bretforton on the way to the Fleece. One of the Donkeys trying to eat Audreys Bouquet also made me smile!
This is a particularly long blog post befitting of what was a fantastic day so I apologise in advance for just how many images I have included, but here is Ed and Audreys wonderful wedding.
