My 2022. A year of ups and downs.
Well, thats another year in the books. I’d like to say it was an awesome year but alas it’s been another year of wonderful highs and some desperately sad lows.
As far as the good stuff goes, back in May my wife and I managed to leave these shores for a few days and took a trip to the beautiful Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba. Neither of us had visited the Caribbean before and we weren’t entirely sure what to expect but we had the most amazing time… so much so that we booked to return this year until Tui decided to just up and cancel our trip just before Christmas (More about this in a future episode). Hopefully, there will be much more travelling to report on this year (hint.. there will be).
And then of course there were the Weddings. They were all so much fun to be a part of. … so much colour and joy… not to mention owls and baby goats (baby goats have become my new second favourite animal) and secret ceremonies.
A few of my weddings in 2022 where the final holdovers from the pandemic lockdowns and I must say a massive thank you to all those that stuck by me, supporting my business and getting me through such a difficult period.
I must also say a massive thank you to all of the weddings venues and suppliers within the wedding industry that I have met/worked with this year. With one or two exceptions it has been wonderful to see how we have all come together to support one another over the last few years.
Here are just a handful of images from the weddings I photographed this year.
Finally, it would be remiss of me not to mention Ade, Dennis and Daisy.
I miss you all more than words can say.
Thank you for being such big, wonderful, joyful parts of my life.
