A Lyde Court Summer Wedding. Georgia and Tommy's perfect day in Herefordshire.
A Lyde Court Summer Wedding day.
I got into a little bit of a chat with another photographer earlier this week after she made a comment that sometimes working with and then finishing a wedding can be a bit of a sad experience when you get on so well with your clients. It’s a bit of a bittersweet feeling having spent such a enjoyable time with two people only to ‘move on’ once the work is done.
I’ve experienced this feeling quite often (the perils of working for so many awesome people I suppose) and it always sneaks up on you once the day is over. It’s a bit of a come down after the adrenaline rush of a hectic day.
Photographing Weddings for Friends.
Working for Georgia and Tommy felt like spending time with friends rather than being at ‘work’. Nothing was too much for them… they welcomed me wonderfully, were accommodating when I asked for time to take a few group photos and were just generally lovely. We got on so well I had the best time working for them both. It didnt hurt that Georgia and I share a mutual love of cats either.
A big shout out must go to everyone at Lyde Court. I absolutely love working there… it is so up my street in terms of suiting the way I work. It was my first visit of the year and it was such a joy to get back. A huge thanks especially to Meggie for looking after me (not only at this wedding but also Naomi and Ollie’s a couple of weeks later). You’re ace!
I’m really proud of this set of images. They are (hopefully) are fair reflection of what was an absolutely wonderful day spent with ‘friends’. Thank you Georgia and Tommy for everything… you are the best!
