Alice and Rob were married yesterday at wonderful Lemore Manor in Herefordshire and I was very lucky to be asked to photograph their beautiful wedding day.
Whilst the day was challenging in terms of the weather (in other words, it was a typical spring day in the UK), Alice and Rob were wonderful to work for... giving me time whenever I asked for it and being thoroughly warm and welcoming throughout the day. Thank you so much for braving the weather when it was possible to get outside and also for humouring me when I wanted to try out a couple of the shots I had in mind. They also let me shoot a bit of Medium Format film yesterday on my trusty old Bronica and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what I get back from the Lab this week!
As anyone that has read my blog before will know, I love Photographing Weddings at Lemore Manor near Hereford. I am always made to feel very welcome and it's always a pleasure to go back. It's a lovely venue and I won't stop singing their praises. Find out more here.
By way of a first look, here are a small handful of Alice and Robs wedding photographs, with many more to come in a few weeks time.
A couple of weeks ago, a lovely Bride that I am working for later this year sent me a fun little email with a link to a piece talking about just how far some Wedding Photographers will go to get a shot. Some of the shots were just nuts.... including one which required the photographer to abseil down a cliff face to get a better angle to shoot from. Now, I'm not going to do anything like that (I'm too old and definitely have the 'what if' gene), but Alice and Rob did tell me how much they like the fountain at Lemore. So, I decided to try and grab this shot. It has come out just as I wanted it to, but I don't think I will be doing it again in a hurry... Teetering on the very narrow edge of the pool surrounding the fountain with an expensive camera in hand did nothing for my nerves!!
