Hilton Hall, Wolverhampton. Sukhi and Richards perfect day.
As I’ve said before I love going to new venues… it’s challenging, keeps me on my toes and keeps things fresh. So, visiting Hilton Hall near Wolverhampton in Staffordshire for Sukhi and Richards awesome wedding in June ticked all of those boxes and more… many more.
Its a lovely venue. Great light in the rooms within the main building, the biggest Marquee you have ever seen (fairly certain a full size footy pitch would fit inside) and a gorgeous outdoor ceremony area that has to be seen to be believed (or indeed, you could just look at the photos….)
I met up with Sukhi and Richard a month or so before the wedding so we could get to know one another a bit and to take a few images. I’m so glad we did because it only served to help me become more excited for their day than I already was… they are such a lovely couple.
One of the many things that I can say about this wedding which I can’t say about most that I shoot is that it was loud. And by loud I mean LOUD. Imagine standing next to a normal DJ speaker on one side of you and then add in a couple of drummers playing along to the music on the other. My ears were ringing for ages afterwards.
Having said that I had such a great time shooting this wedding. S&R were as lovely as I thought they would be. Their guests were awesome and the meal I was served was perfect (I apparently was given enough Naan bread with my curry to feed an entire table of guests…. yum yum!)
As always… a few shout outs. Thanks to all of the staff at Hilton Hall. To @d_gentuk and @_dj_sim for their warm welcome, MC’ing and DJ duties…. both top chaps indeed.
And finally thank you Sukhi and Richard. You have been an absolutely joy to work with… thank you so much for asking me to be part of such a great day.
