I’ve shot many beautiful weddings this year. Some near, some far. Alex and Amy’s perfect day fell into the ‘near and beautiful’ category as they were married at one of my favourite wedding venues, Gorcott Hall in Warwickshire.

I first met Alex last year when we worked together at another wedding. You see, Alex is a film maker and was working alongside Luke Butler to video I&S day. We got on well (bonding over the tastiest food at the aforementioned wedding) so it was a real compliment when Alex got in touch a few weeks later to ask if I would photograph his own wedding. Of course I said yes!

The day rolled around and it’s fair to say it was perfect. The venue itself is wonderful… totally up my street in terms of how I like to work and the weather… well hopefully the images speak for themselves in that regard.

I worked alongside Luke and his wife Molly once again and had a wonderful day. Even the registrar doing registrar things didn’t dampen my mood (the less said about that the better!).

Massive thanks to Alex and Amy (who is one of the loveliest people you could ever hope to meet by the way) and to all of the staff at Gorcott Hall for making my working day so enjoyable. Oh, and of course a massive shout out to Alex’s sister for the dance floor entertainment!
