Broadway Wedding Photographer, Chris and Alice's Perfect Day.
The UK is a beautiful country. I sometimes think we forget this as overseas travel has become so much more available / affordable. I've waxed lyrical about the Lake District before but another area of the country that I have deep affection for is the Cotswolds.
It's an area not too far from my home so it's easy for me to get to and I have taken advantage of that throughout my life. From flying lessons at Little Rissington as a kind (I was in the Air Training Corps), too visits to Bourton on the Water with family, I just love it there.
Chris and Alice flew over to the UK from Hong Kong last month for their wedding in Chris's hometown of Broadway (last visited by me for Lottie and Alastairs wedding last year).
The day kicked off at an AirBnB on Broadway high street (where I met the wonderful Christine Cara for the first time... she is a sensationally talented Make Up Artist... do check her work out, as well as Jayne from Vale Garden Flowers) before moving to the local church and then onto the family home for fun and games....
Planning a wedding from overseas must at the best of times be tricky. But, when Gareth Southgate and his England team threw an unexpected spanner in the works, Chris and Alice had a little more organising to do.
So, having found a table, a TV and an extension lead everyone was able to watch the games against Sweden before sitting down for dinner. And England won.... miracles will never cease!
After the football, Alice and Chris then took part in a Chinese Tea Ceremony.... one of the most significant parts of a traditional Chinese Wedding. LOVED photographing this part of the wedding day.
A finally it was time for a few shots at Sunset.
I just want to express my thanks to Alice, Chris and their family and friends for the wonderful day I had working for them all. It can't be easy organising a wedding over such long distances and I am so flattered that they put their trust in me to capture their special day.
Congratulations Alice and Chris.
