We have just returned from a somewhat hastily arranged trip to Canada… we were supposed to be going elsewhere but that trip got cancelled (thank you TUI). However, as the saying goes, when one door closes, another one opens and this couldn’t be more accurate than with our experiences this special trip.

I don’t want to waffle on to much here cos I have horrendous jet lag and just want to go and lie down for a bit but suffice to say our visit to Canada will live long in our memories. Montreal was great, Toronto was absolutely sensational (will definitely return) and Niagara Falls was something very very special. Jaw dropping, mesmerising, spiritual, awesome.

Most of all though, it was the people that made our trip so wonderful. From the lovely staff at the Auberge Bon Matin in Montreal to Adam our guide at Niagara and our driver back to the Airport on our journey home… everyone was remarkably friendly. We had heard about Canadian hospitality before but to experience it is another thing entirely.

What an amazing country.
