Kerry and Matt, New House Farm, Lake District, Wedding - December 2015
As I wrote a couple of weeks ago, the Christmas period was a very busy time for me. I seemed to either be driving all over the place or photographing weddings. The first of my winter weddings was Kerry and Matt's beautiful day at New House Farm in the Lake District.
As we all know, the Lake District has taken quite a battering over the last few weeks and Matt and Kerry's wedding day followed in the wake of Storm Desmond which did cause a few last minute changes to plans for the day (the hotel Kerry was to get ready in was flooded a few days before hand). The weather on the day of the wedding was pretty challenging as well... very strong wind and rain made getting outside pretty much impossible throughout the day. However, New House Farm is a wonderful venue.. almost dare I say it... cosy,! So the weather didn't dampen spirits at all and every one present had a great time.
Thank you so much to Kerry and Matt for being so easy to work for. Here are a few (I'm trying to limit the amount of images I post to a manageable number) photographs from their beautiful Lake District Winter Wedding. I should note that the image of Matt's colleagues drawing their swords was in response to the registrar asking whether anyone present had any objections to the wedding... a very funny moment!
