Kate & Fran, Eglwys Oen Duw and Glangrwyney Court, Powys, Wedding - September 2015
Back in September, I spent a wonderful day photographing Kate and Frans wedding in Powys.
Their wedding ceremony was held at Eglwys Oen Duw, a beautiful little church near Beulah whilst the reception (and wedding preparations) took place at Glangrwyney Court near Abergavenny.
Working for Kate and Fran has been a fantastic experience from start to finish. They are a wonderfully relaxed couple which made for a fun day for both myself and Steve, my assistant for the day. It was also really nice to find out that Kate and Fran booked me having seen a few images from friends weddings that I have photographed in the past … which is hugely flattering :-)
A couple of things stood out for me on the day. It was lovely to see that the Vicar that married Rachel and Aled last year had travelled up to join the local Vicar at the Church to take the service… it made for a humorous ceremony. And as one of the images towards the end of this post proves, insurance is critical… not only for the protection of clients, but also for my camera equipment itself. A couple more inches closer to me and I would have had a very pretty shoe affixed to the front of my camera!
Lastly, I should thank Steve for his help on the day. He did a great job and I hope we will get the chance to work together at many more weddings in the future. Here are a few images from Kate and Frans wedding day….
